Q12 is a new patent pending text input method for mobile phones. Using just 12 traditional phone buttons, Q12 enables entering of any letter with a single touch!

HOW IT WORKS

Letters are drawn on the faceplate. Button shapes are modified in order to provide the following effect:

Aiming a certain letter the user's finger presses 2 or 3 surrounding buttons simultaneously.

Such combination is recognized by phone software as this letter input.

There is no need to memorize these combinations - user just aim at the required letters.

Q12 :: Classic

Letters are located next to the buttons used for their entering on usual phones.

Example: aiming to X, you press combination of O-9-#

Q12 practically does not modify the traditional keypad. With Q12 its primary function - dialing phone numbers - works the same way as usual - there are digits on buttons, with buttons in their places. With no extra buttons Q12 adds complete alphabet with a familiar layouts which does not require any learning.

Q12 :: Computer

This layout is similar to QWERTY computer keyboard. Prototyping has proved its ease of use.
